Windows 7 and Server 2008 are 10 years old!
It’s hard to believe, but Windows 7 was released in July of 2009. Microsoft has since moved on to more advanced technology than Windows 7 and Server 2008 we’re built on.
As a consequence they are no longer providing security updates after January 14th.
Why is this so important?
Microsoft provides security updates for vulnerabilities as they are discovered. This very important service is known as “Windows Updates”.
Without these updates, your computer is left vulnerable to attack as new security holes and discovered everyday.
Making matters worse, some attackers will sit on these security gaps until after Microsoft ends support of Windows 7. Within a matter of days or weeks the risk of attack can rise dramatically.

HIPAA Compliance Problem
Any computer running a version of Windows that is not supported is no longer HIPAA compliant.
While HIPAA doesn’t specifically state that Windows 7 is not HIPAA compliant it does state that you must be able to perform security updates (45 CFR 164.308).
Soon you will no longer be capable of performing this task. Don’t put your practice at risk, let us help you fix this problem!
There is hope!
Having a good upgrade strategy that prevents excessive and unnecessary down time is critical in ensuring a smooth transition to Windows 10. You don’t want your staff struggling in front of frustrated patients when they can’t get your system to work properly.
Training, support, and proper communication will keep your team working effectively so patients don’t lose confidence in their ability to provide good care.
Let us take this concern off your shoulders. We’ll put together a plan that allows a smooth transition with minimal downtime.
Upgrade plan
We’ve been through this cycle before with Windows XP, and we know what is required to allow for a smooth transition. Upgrades like this are complicated, it’s like trying to replace your foundation without disturbing your house.
Some older software is not compatible with Windows 10. Additionally, some equipment doesn’t have drivers (software) that work with Windows 10. Let us figure out all of this hassle for you. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know what to look for.
You might be surprised, not every computer needs to be replaced. Many computers built after 2016 can simply be upgraded at a significant cost savings.
We make sure you get the maximum benefit from your investment
Don’t wait until the last minute! The longer you wait the harder it will be to implement a proper plan as well as schedule the upgrade prior to the deadline.
